How the city name affects your image generations

I have always been impressed by how Midjourney manages to reflect the atmosphere of a specific city. So I decided to see what happens when I only change the location, while keeping the rest of the entire prompt exactly the same.
What I found out was surprisingly interesting…
Turns out that, for the exact same description, Midjourney suggests different architectural designs for different cities!
The differences are not always very relevant, but as you can see from the results I picked below, you can create and explore many interesting ideations.
In a way, it does make sense: the type of architecture would be different when you take into account climate and cultural considerations. But still, if you look closely, the variations between each design transcend these factors.
What this means is that when you are running iterations of a design, you can ask Midjourney to imagine it in different locations and generate variations in an entirely new way!
To go about it, I suggest you to re-run the new generations with the same seed as your base image (which is what I did for this experiment), otherwise you are going to end up with results that are too different from each other.
